Really nice to see the gorgeous reception class receive their bibles in church on Sunday. They were so confident standing in front of the whole congregation singing incy wincy spider and they knew all the actions. Mr Heatley needs a little practise though! The animal finger puppets they made in Sunday School looked amazing too. Welcome to St John’s. This terms Christian value of ‘thankfulness’ is certainly appropriate. Thankful to have such amazing children, great teachers and to be part of the warm and friendly community of St John’s.
The inspire sessions have been a really good idea for the children to get used to the environment. Lili -Mae has been made to feel welcome. She certainly likes to keep her mind active. These sessions have allowed her to explore and get to know the staff. She likes to please and loves spending time with elders. Loved weighing with Miss Cavanagh and doing numbers with Mrs Elsdon. She is very excited to spend time in the next session on her own. By the time September comes she will be will be happy with settling into her new school environment. The sessions are beneficial to all children.
Really glad you have inspire classes, as I was worried how Finley would settle, but he enjoys coming and cannot wait to start in September. Miss Cavanagh makes you feel at ease and gives good detailed explanations on arrival. :-) Thank you!
Joseph is really enjoying the sessions I think its a great way to introduce the children to school. Very good experience we look forward to starting in September.
Very informative. A real insight into how to help our children with early school.
Brilliant sessions. Children get to experience school life and have a taster of whats in store. When they start seeing faces they will see in September this will put them at ease when they see them again.
Helpful for the children to see the classroom and get a feel for the area. Helps us as parents to understand how to help with numbers and letters and make learning enjoyable.
A refreshing change from reception classes of 27 years back. Thank you for a relaxed introduction not only for children, but it has been of benefit for the adults. Grandpa J. :-)
A very useful insight as to how the school operates and Jacob found all the activities enjoyable and educational.
I'm really impressed with today's visit. The classroom is fab! So much to do. I am very excited for Sienna to be a part of St. John's :-)
